Andrew Gruz was born as Andreas Grusinski in 1984 in Smolensk, RSFSR, USSR.
He came in May 1990 with his family to Germany, where the small town Nidda in Wetteraukreis / Hesse was their new place of life. When he secretly watched the movie Bloodsport with Jean-Claude Van Damme together with his brother at the age of six, he became a desire to become an actor. The films of Van Damme animated martial arts. At the KKBC in Hungen he learned karate and kickboxing under the direction of Oliver Storck. Grusinski was several times the International German Champion in competitions of the World Association of Kickboxing Organizations in 2004 he succeeded with the World Cup victory his biggest tournament success.
